As I was typing my question, I noticed that most of the similiar questions were the exact same. Its notn that I have a problem with gays, its just that I what to who or what made them that way. Is it because the oppsite sex ain't treating them the way they wanna be.

So just PLEASE explain this to me.

When you are born and start to grow up you find yourself having a certain attraction to boys and then men as you mature. Well...gay people are born like you but their attraction is for the same sex. They have no choice on how they feel inside and their desires. What they do have a choice about is whether or not they act on those feelings. There are a lot of gay men that marry women so that no one will know that they are secretly gay, or to not be shunned or disowned by family. These men want children in most cases and really do love the woman they married. The problem is the feelings they have never go away...they just get worse and stronger. Eventually the wife finds out and a divorce is usually the end result.

In a study they asked 100 gay men if they could take a pill that would make them NOT gay anymore...would they take it? All but three said yes. It is not something they choose to FEEL...but it is their choice whether or not they act on those feelings. I personally feel that if you are GAY it is better to act on those feelings rather than fight them and make a spouse of the opposite sex miserable as well as themself.

Ok... how stupid are you? Have you just been shunned by society for the last couple decades? Being gay is NOT a choice. It is NOT a preference. It is an ORIENTATION. Get the difference. And what the hell's wrong with being gay unless you're some Christian crackpot out to prove your pseudoscience with false evidence and a book of fairytales...? EVERY credible research study in the past 30 years have emphatically stated that it is determined by the age six if you're gay or not, sometimes even before you're born! It's completely irreversible since it's genetic. Secondly, what makes you so sure that being hetero (bleh) is so "right?" Just because the majority is hetero? Well, the majority is also Republican, but just look at BUSH.... 'nuff said. There's nothing wrong with being gay, lesbian, bi, or anything else under the sun. Besides, why be hetero when you can drool over hot gay guys? *smiles*

I have discussed this so many times with both gay and straight people.

All the gay people I've spoke with have told me they don't "choose" to be gay. It's something they are. Just like I don't choose to be asian, by son didn't choose to be born. I just am, he just was. There have been several controversial studies done regarding people being born gay. There was one I read about women who were pregnant during the Vietnam war and their husbands away to war tended to have more gay children etc... I think they stated something about the stress levels and extra hormones the child in the womb received. Of course it was a recent study about being gay and they found out that these men had this thing in common (their mother's all having husbands away at war when they were pregnant with them)

I think that there are also circumstances where something traumatic happened to them such as rape or incest or something of the likes.

I think if someone actually had the answer to this question, they'd win the Nobel Peace Prize

Hi. I am a lesbian woman because I was born this way. Think of it like this: when did you choose to be a straight woman? You might say, you were born straight. Or, you could say that it all started naturally when you began to notice boys. The only difference between you and me is, when you were looking at the boys, I was noticing the girls.

Gay people are gay for the same reasons that straight people are straight. I am straight myself, but was born that way. I have never been attracted to the same sex but have had gay friends explain their feelings the same way. They were born that way and have never been attracted to the opposite sex. It is simple really. Society makes it confusing!

The answer to this is so simple, yet straight people miss it all the time.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO BE STRAIGHT?

See, if YOU didn't make the choice, what makes you think WE did?
You're born that way, just as you're born with black hair, with brown skin, left handed, etc. Its in the genes, not in the mind. The choice is to come out or not to come out. And with so many bigoted, religious zealots and idiots around you have to be a pretty brave person to come out in that environment!

If it was that simple. They are just born gay. Has nothing to do with the way the opposite sex treated them.

It is not a choice. When will Christians stop spreading this old husband's tale? It is proven that gay folks are born with their preference. You need to get to know some gays so you get over your misconceptions about them.

They were born like that but sometimes, the discovery period comes later and when they realize that they can't get away from it, they accepted it and or ignore the screaming true gender inside of them.

It has nothing to do with other people around them, it's more of genetics.

I am glad that you appreciates them too.

I can't imagine someone choosing to be gay! Why would they set themselves up for a life time of harassment? Each and everyone of us are born different and some of us are born gay.
