You need to practice so that when you are given a part you can become that person. Or at least your idea of how the person would feel and act in that situation. It takes a bit of talent. Just because you hate acting doesn't mean you can not be good at it.
It will come to you if you just take it serious and PRACTICE.

Acting is about being someone else. Just pretend you are someone else. Like when you are a kid and you are pretending to be a pirate, or a firefighter, or whatever. Acting is pretending. Just act like someone else and it won't be scary. (because you are not being you) Do you get that. ... don't take it so seriously. Make an *** out of yourself, believe me it will be great.......By the way I was in Drama for 6 years...It works.

Take acting classes, it really helps overcome those type of problems, but if you HATE acting do another thing, don't suffer when it's not necessary. Wish you luck.

I guess my question back to you is,,,WHY? AS in why become involved? Obviously you'll never be Oscar material, and likely don't care,,,, so why not choose another path for life?
