We are looking for information on how to get employment cleaning forclosed properties...We have been advised that real estate companies often hire persons to clean for them, and to haul off everything that was left behind when people either leave in the night or have to vacate the property for some reason. We have experiance, references, and a large box van to work with. Is there some official name for this position ( other than cleaning, of course ) ??? We live in mid-north Indiana, and would appreciate any information we can get from anyone who has either provided this service, or who hires people for these type positions. Thanks !

You could try to go through the foreclosure companies to see if they will hire you. What I would do is Yahoo and us the words reo companies, bpo companies, nationwide valuation. This is how I signed up tp do clean ups.

Gold feather.com maybe .gov. but there are one of the biggest HUD program housing market seller in foreclosures. You can reach your local real estate head quarters and ask them for the information of this and the only name would be of professional home maintenance may try that name to better suite you in the business.

To find work in this area, prepare a flyer stating experience, etc., and send it to realtors and rental agents in your area. You will probably have to be bonded and you'll have to find out how many days you must retain those possessions before they are legally yours.
