My guess is they buy the items in bulk, and sell each item individually for a profit. It is called buying wholesale. If they buy a box of the same thing that has 50 pieces for 15 dollars, they can sell the products individually making 35 dollars off that box. I guess sellers on Ebay buy pallets of DVD players, and sell each box individually for mega bucks.

Some of those item cost them from 5 cents to 80 cents each! Since they buy in bulk the get them really cheap! These item are made overseas where it only cost cents to make and they pay the workers extremely low wages! If you observe, most of the things are not made in the U.S.

by selling in volume, the more you make of a thing, the cheaper it is to make. you make a gadget at 10 cents each per 1000, the price drops to 2 cents by the 100,000 but you still sell it at a $1. lots of profit!!!

dollar stores rock my world, sometimes they get deals on stuff and thats why they have it, they also have cheaper products like not jergens lotion and stuff like that but recently i have seen many name brands and popular things such as dora the explorer and stuff like that in these places...thats the fun of shopping there we have no idea how they do it lol
