You could, but there is more of a chance for infection that way. The plug was a barrier that kept bacteria from getting into your uterus. Make sure you & your lover clean real well on your genital areas. Keep it safe or don't do it, because labor is near now.

I would hold off. Once the plug is out infection could be introduced. No reason to chance it at this late date. Sounds like you are almost ready to meet the love of your life. Good luck!

I read it was not a good idea for the above reasons infection.
