When someone is listening to very loud music in their car and I can hear/feel it about four vehicles back can they still hear emergency vehicles? Why do people feel the need to make others listen to their music?

I have a friend who has really loud speakers.it's so loud that I can't even hear the music all I feel is the vibration.I don't think you can hear the police,or the ambulance.I think it's dumb,and I ask him why he do that and he tells me" because it shows that my speaker are better then yours".I hate it when I'm walking and I hear the peoples music.most of the time the music sucks.oh,great Question,hope I helped.

No, they can't - which is one reason nearly every state in the country has a law against just that - most people who crank it up don't care whether or notthey are offending anyone else, it simply doesn't occur to them that other people might be offended. Or that other people have a right not to hear their tunes. Or that they might get creamed by a nine-ton fire truck. Or anything else.

no they can't and hat is against the law if they can't here them....i wonder if they are concerned that they are in violation other peoples privacy...just to have their right to play music as loud as they want..i hope they realize in a few years they will be needing hearing aids

no they can't hear them! I don't know why! but in michigan it's illegal to have your car music really loud! I think

I HATE that!!! Once a dude was blasting his music and I rolled my windows up and he turned it down. I thought that was kind of cool, but most people don't care that they are annoying others.

You're right about a problem hearing sirens, but I really get into what they're playing sometimes

most likely yes you are still able to hear emergency vehicles..you can also take down their license plate number and report them to the CHP..................

maybe they're so pathetic and pitiful that it's the only way they can "one up" you. Everybody has to be better at something than someone and this is their way. How sad.

Because they feel the need to draw attention to themselves and then say, "What the **** are you looking at?" grrrrrr
