Because some people are just mean. That's why it's funny to be as nice as possible, mean people hate that ;)

because some people are like that and they don't know any better but if they wont be nice back then why should you? I'm not saying be mean back I'm just saying don't talk to them. Hope I helped if not then I am sorry.

could be for a variety of reasons. one being, they are jealous or envious of you. second, they could just be unhappy and hateful at the world or what the world has thrown at them. whatever it is, don't make it your problem! its not your fault, they are the one with the issues so let them be. whomever this is, definately has a problem with accepting anyone being nice to them just because it is that persons characteristic. stop being "nice", just be polite and acknowledge them and leave it to that. life is to short to be concerned about someone who can "hate" another for being nice!!! just continue to be yourself.

they probably dont hate you just feel threatened by you, in some way maybe, are you very good looking, do you earn lots of money or something like that can put some shallow people off from the start, it is their problem not yours.

That's one of lifes mysteries. Ive known people, who when we first met didn't like me, and some continued to dislike me for sometime. Then one day we met up, started out cool then warmed to each other. They never could tell me why they disliked me except thought I was stuck up, and couldn't explain why.
