to charge much more for its products in the U.S. than in other countries? Instead it is currently illegal in the U.S. to bring those same lower priced pharmaceuticals back into the U.S.. Does this seem right?

I am not advocating government price controls of any kind. The pharmaceutical companies can charge whatever they like. However, it should be legal to import back the pharmaceuticals back to the U.S. at the discounted price.

YOU ARE 100% ON TARGET! IT SHOULD BE ILLEGAL! And I rarely write in caps.

So now the government will be responsible for setting the prices for pharmaceuticals? Bad idea.

It doesn't manke sense to me why it is illegal to buy the same drug that these pharmaceutical companies are selling at a different location. Its still the same drug. Does it really matter if you buy it at this Walgreen or that Walgreen? We are shoppers, we will buy the same item at a different place if it is cheaper.

As an economist, I detest price controls. I do, however LOVE open competition.
