I'll be 6 weeks pregnant tomorrow. Up until today, I have felt slight pinches, twinges, and pulling sensations in my lower abdomen, they are not necessarily painful, but feel a little weird. I believe that this is due to the stretching of the uterus. I am concerned because I have not had any of these feelings today. Is this normal for these to come and go like this (have it one day and not the next), or should I be concerned?
I have not been on my feet anywhere near as much today or been as stressed at my job as usual. Could this possibly be why?
I have not had any spotting or unusual discharge. I still have breast tenderness, food aversions, and an overall blah feeling.

I would not say stretching of the uterus, but cramping. You don't feel your uterus stretching. Better to not feel pinches and twinges until that baby is big enough to be felt. Take it easy.

I am a mom with 4 children, ages 27, 25, 21, and 9. My oldest is about 9 weeks pregnant with our first grandchild. She had a threatened miscarriage 3 weeks ago, but the bleeding has stopped and the ultrasound shows the baby is fine. She has been experiencing the same type of feelings in her uterus as you described. She had a visit yesterday with the OB nurse and was told that those feelings are perfectly fine. Since you have no other problems such as spotting or cramping and you are still exhibiting normal signs of pregnancy, I would say everything is normal. However, if it continues or becomes painful than check with the doctor. At your next appointment mention the feelings you were having, they may want to note it on your chart.

I had the same problem in both of my pregnancies. It is very common. From the moment of conception your body starts to prepare for child birth. All of your muscles start to loosen. It is very easy to slightly pull a muscle in your abs. Unless it is a severe pain that causes you to double over, there's no need for concern. Of course, as always, if you are very worried, consult your doctor.
The loosening of the muscles is so common and happens all over your body. I found out about all this when I sprained my ankle in my first pregnancy. I didnt remember doing anything to cause it, but it happens.

I had the same thing & your right. It's the stretching of your uterus. It usually calms down when your not active. For me it was worse when I tried to get up. Usually when you get up or sit down it tends to act up because that is further stretching of your uterus. Don't worry unless you have heavy consistant bleeding it's nothing to worry about.

You should go to the doctor because that was happening to me when I was 5 weeks pregnant and the next day I had a miscarriage. There is no way to prevent a miscarriage but at least you can know for sure!

It is completely normal. It is just the stretching and cramping of the uterus.

I think you are fine. When we are pregnant sometimes we are so attuned to our bodies that we freak ourselves out over nothing and everything! I think staying off of your feet is probably the reason, but if you are too concerned to relax then check it out with your doc. Good luck to you!
