in my culture divorce is aloud only as the last choice possible, the couple has to try to fix stuff between them and only if they REALLY didn't have another choice.

In our culture today, marriages are almost never prearranged in the sense of the parents picking out a spouse for their child. This used to be the practice hundreds of years ago, however.
Personally, you have a choice. You can choose to go along with the arrangement or not. There will be consequences either way depending upon your particular culture.
Somehow or other, our culture got into individuals picking their own mates based on a concept called "love" which in the short term is probably more correctly defined as "lust" or "infatuation". True love between marriage partners takes lots of time. I think that it's development is more dependent upon the choices made by the partners to put the needs of their mate first (love is a choice) rather than some physical attraction. Therefore, I believe that it is possible for a couple in an arranged marriage to love each other -even if they do not at first.
Sacreligious concept in my own culture as it is today but maybe if we all were to base our choice of a life mate upon other things than physical attraction, we'd have a much lower divorce rate.
BTW, it is my understanding that most cultures where marriages are pre-arranged today do not allow divorce - at least without severe penalty. True?

arranged marriages are pathetic. even back a long time ago they didnt work. have you read any romance novels? daddy always prearranged a marriage and the girl always ran off and stowed away on a ship or something and fell in love with the sexy sea captain lol

This is an American website. In America, marriages generally aren't arranged.
People should choose who they want to spend the rest of their life with.
I think it is wrong to have a prearranged marriage.

It depends on the law of the country or family traditions the law you have to do the family you have a choice!

The only downfall for a guy is if they pick an unattractive fat woman for your wife. Otherwise the concept of receiving a fresh young thing whos inwardly salivating for her nipples to be licked in a loving relationship is appealing.
