3 years ago I was ousted from my wonderful artstudio because of a friend. Since then I have been floating around from place to place, even lived in my car for 8 months. I haven't had any type of studio since. 3 months ago I met this old man who was willing to help me get back on my feet. I do faux finishing & intrior painting/murals but haven't had work in some time. The other day I finally was able to set up an area where I could work and make samples of my marbleing finishes (I was on a roll!) first time in almost 3 years now. Well, he started out by offering to help ei. sander, table, etc. Then he began to interupt me every 5 min. I asked him, explained to him, even begged him to let me be alone. He just ignored me. I finally went to bed and dicided morning would be better. Well, again, just as I was "in my groove" he does the same thing. almost like a comedy! Now I got in his face! Only it got worse! My heart is so tore up. I'm in tears.Literally/please help. good advice only plse

Sounds like a frustrating situation. It is a bit simplistic if someone is so determined to interrupt you perhaps but you could try headphones.

find a new job and I know how you feel right all i can tell you now is to find someone to live with and hand out resumes online and trust me you will be back on your feet. Just Pray. Or you can ask the man to stop interrupting and that this job and his help is very important to you and that you really weather work with no interruptions

If he constantly comes to see what you are doing, just offer him a task to do. Just make sure that the task is really complicated so that he wouldn't want to come back again, unless you really want the help. If you really feel sorry, just go up to him and sincerely apologize, the longer you wait to apologize the more painful and anxious you will become.

You need your own place. Anytime you move in with someone and don't contribute equally the other person will get in your face, ask for help, and so on.

Stop being a drama queen and channel your art directly. If you let him get under your skin it only makes things worse.
