I would find that the best answer for this question is: before doing something stupid like cheating on your boyfriend break up with him, and after you have broken up start dating the other person, if you have fallen in love with someone else it is because you aren't that happy in your current relationship so, don't keep up appearances that everything is ok and talk it out.
It is better to end things than to do things on the side, if you want to have a chance with the new guy you should be honest with your current boyfriend, both of them will appreciate it.
