as much as the chiansaw would be cool to watch if the splinter is deep in your skin you'll have to let it ease itsself out sorry i know you really wanted to use the chainsaw and i wanted to watch :)

The best way to remove a splinter is to put some glue (but NOT CRAZY GLUE) on your skin in the affected area, let it dry completely, and then peel off the dried glue. It will pull the splinter out with it. Good luck!

Take a SHARP pin and tear up a little bit of skin at one end of the splinter. Carefully lift up the end of the s. with the tip of the pin, and squeeze the other end so it moves out a bit. Then pull the exposed end out: Minimal fuss.

How big is the splinter...If its little use tweezers and a sewing needle to just open the outter skin area and use the tweezers to pull it out?

How about just plain tweezers. I wouldn't put butter near any wound.
