My 4 month old is drooling like crazy. How do I know if he is teething or just drooling because he is a baby?

No I would say he is teething if he lets you,you can rub your fingers along his gums and you may be able to feel the teeth just under his gums or depends on how long there may be hard right at the top of his gums even if you can't see the white yet. other signs could be red cheeks crying maybe pain but some babies don't get this at all.

Definitely the beginning of teething. My son will be one on Halloween, and he started drooling buckets at 3 months. It seems early, but it's not really. Another couple of months and you'll see the fever thing and some major fussiness. Mine has 6 teeth now and is trying to get more bottom teeth and is BITING everyone.... good luck!!!!

When they are teething children do drool some. My Grandbaby is going through this stage and she gets very fussy, cryes for a bit and stops when she has something for the pain, chews on things. You'll know because after a few days of crying and going through the teething he will cut a little tooth, you will be able to feel it. It's a sweet time! Good Luck to you and God Bless you n yours!

Babies drool whether teething or not. So it's hard to tell just by the drool. The way I could tell is if it was more like a foamy drool and you can also look at the gums. If they are red and swollen then he's teething.

Try putting your finger in your baby's mouth, if his reaction is usually to chew vigorously or cry because it's hurtful - teething

Fussy

Pulling at ear(s)

Those are the signs I use - I have three

ps use those munchkins food nets for teething babies, put some ice in them and let them go to town! Works great without getting their hands all frozen!

Teething usually has some pain so if he is fussy and cries. Plus, chewing everything. 4 months old seems right to start.

He's probably teething. If he gets a little rash around his mouth it is a sure sign of teething.

When they cry a lot and put stuff in their mouth I think that is teething but I'm not for sure

excessive drooling is a result of teething. You can definitely give him some teething toys that will absorb some of the drool.
