I am looking for an alternative to banks. Western Union had a program at one time, but they discontinued it.?

We need an alternative to banks to direct deposit our social security and VA checks and then either withdraw the money or use a debit/credit card to spend. We don't want checks and we are tired of all the fees at banks and all the B.S. at the bank.

See if you are eligible for membership to a credit union. Credit unions are non-profit so they don't try to bleed their customers (members) dry with fees. They are typically a lot more people friendly than banks.

How about Credit Unions? You no longer have to be a member of a group to use a Credit Union.
