I am looking for a German quality 3 in 1 Printer for Home use. I have had HP, Eosons and Canons. All are horribly expensive to operate and can only be classed as Garbage. I will now look for something made in Europe. I should have better luck since it can't get any worse.

sorry to disappoint you, but as labour is so expensive in europe, there is nobody in in germany, as far as I'm aware, who still does them. I had a Canon for a while and when it broke down I had it repaired at their service centre in Hamburg. They did a good job of it. So in essence when buing a printer check for the price of consumables in advance and also check for the service centre.

Quality German?.....

Bwuahahahahahahahaaaaa!

Ahem...sorry. According to PC Magazine, Canon and HP are the two most reliable printers out there. I think the problem is, that you are buying el cheapo versions of these guys. Try buying a premium priced version of these guys. When it comes to printers you really do get what you pay for.

A big downside to purchasing some German printer is the fact that finding ink or toner will be scarce, not to mention the shipping costs when you do find ink. It would be cheaper to continue purchasing the crappy Asian printers everyone has come to know and love.

"Quality German" bwuahahahahaha! You kidder!

Even if you found a German printer manufacturer, the manufacturer would have probably had the computer assembled in Asia, in order to save money. Labour is the most expensive part of manufacturing.
Of course, a German printer company might also just have one of those Asian companies manufacture and package a printer for them, with the German company's name on it.

I've seen different models of HP, Epson, and Canon printers. There's nothing wrong with most of them. If you did a poll about this, everyone would say that the problem isn't with the printers, but with you.
