I think hate is a reactive feeling people feel towards other people that have hurt them so that 1) they can avoid them to avoid pain and 2) so they can destroy them to avoid pain.
"Hate" can also be for an action, or a belief that people dislike, however I'd use the term "disgust" for this.

HATE, as you describe in your question, is indeed many things. It can be an intense dislike for a person due to actions, deeds, remarks or certain situations. Mainly however HATE is what bigots use and they use it out of fear, fear of change, fear of people who are different, and is the hardest part of HATE to overcome for many with narrow minds. Personally I hate bigotry, people who thrive on pity, narrow mindedness, people who hurt children and animals.......on a lighter note I also hate liver, peanuts, peanut butter and being tickled.

Hate to me is a disdain for something that offends me deeply. It is a very strong word. I hate wars, but I also see them as necessary evils. I intensely dislike crickets. But I see their need to be here as well. My 2 cents.

and what they did realy make me feel uneasy
what they say might hurt me
and what they have sone to me i will remember for a long time

hate, to me, is a feeling of complete disgust for something...for me to hate a person, they really have to do something bad to me or just simply disrespect me...but for me, its a hate that lasts a lifetime...i dont forgive ppl at all...why should i? why did you "hurt" me in the first place? so why should i forgive you?...see my logic??
i dont disrespect that person though, b/c that wouldnt make me any better...
