THIS IS NOT ALCAY. I am his uncle. I was a POW during the Viet Nam war for several years. I had things done to me that made our treatment of today's POWs seem like a church outing. I was beaten until I blacked out, hung for hours with my arms tied behind my back, and ate food that was fit for any living thing. KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT BEFORE YOU SHOOT OFF YOUR STUPID MOUTH. Thanks Al for letting me do this on your time

The fallacy of what you are asking is the assumption that they would treat them in the same manner. The fact is that they don't. Nor do they subscribe to the Geneva Conventions. The truth of the matter is that they do whatever they please and try to disguise under thier laws, whether civil or religous. It would be a much more civilized world if everyone would abide certain conventions of war, but the facts are plain-- they don't. I don't condone torture or mistreatment of prisoners but they simply dont care. Examples abound: corpses of US military dug throughout the streets of some 3rd world hell hole, or a headless corpse hanging from a bridge, etc. Dont be niave enough to think that they give a crap about you in any fashion shape or form. Your life is worth about as much as a glass of dirty water to them.

Man, I wish they got treated that well! These terrorists mutilate our soldier's bodies, blow them up, and saw thier heads off. They have no morals, no self control and will kill our soldiers as soon as they can. They are worse than animals; they are monsters.
I don't agree with torture; but prisoners of war held by America are treated better than any of our current enemies BY FAR. What do these monsters expect from us?
I also think the move to bring these monsters to US courts is evil; the lawyers want 5 year cases out of each of them, paid for by US taxpayers. Dems do as their sponsors tell them; the ABA (lawyers Assoc) is one of the most influential groups in the Democrat camp, so the lawyers are pushing to increase revenues, that's all they care about. It will also be a public spectacle to pressure the Bush administration.
For those who aren't aware, Osama Bin Laden declared war on each and every one of you. Convert or die, that's the message.

Any fool could undoubtably be attentive to individuals cope with their prisoners extra constructive. actual does all people be attentive to why a pair of the squaddies, no longer the yank militia, had some prisoners stripped and grouped into piles? The prisoners have been attempting to degree a rebellion interior the penal complex! individuals additionally do no longer positioned their prisoners on televison, breaking international regulation, and don't bodily torture their prisoners! i does no longer take the be attentive to Islamo-Fascists who prefer to demonize u . s . a . of america. all people with a delicate head and records of the previous undoubtably can see who reasons the matters! Come on, i think of the factor of those varieties of questions is to get an develop out of folk and to no longer locate an obtrusive certainty!

Yes. It would certainly be a step up from the dragging deaths and beheadings. I think the point of this debate is to define what the Americans would do to get crucial information. I think it should be defined, to avoid eventual criminal action. The facts are that none of our enemies have ever treated our prisoners with the same decency we have. The insurgents or terrorists (or whatever you want to call them) do not and will not ever apply the Geneva Conventions to themselves.

YES, Are you willing to accept that American soldiers have been and will be tortured no matter how humane we treat those trying to kill us. Are you willing to accept loud music, humiliation, prisoner stacking, dog barking, water boarding are mild forms of torture compared to real tortures performed on American soldiers during WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietman, Somalia. Were you crying about American prisoners being torture then?

in what manner do we treat prisoners? In what manner are our prisoners treated? We do not live in an "eye for an eye" society anymore.. no matter how much we wish it to be. Every person feels they deserve better.. it's about compassion.. not fairness

Try asking Senator McCain that one, since he was a prisoner of war, and is a lawmaker. Or, for that matter, any of our former POW's, who made it back. I'm not qualified to answer that, really, nor is anyone else, unless they know what it is to have been an American and a POW.

God if only we where treated like we treat our prisoners. Instead of having our heads cut off and our body draged through the streets on fire. I would rather be tortured.

As a former Marine I challenge you to join up and go see for yourself how our military personal are treated. Forget about Black Hawk Down and other instances that our POWs were mauled and mutilated and put on public display. It is time to stop standing up for the terrorist and treat them like they deserved to be treated!! My references are my experiences in the military!!!!
