0% Every part of your brain is used for something, it is too costly in terms of body resources for any of it to be idle. While very little of the brain is under concious control, estimates hover around 10%, the rest is constantly busy with your bodies autonomic functions, breathing, heartbeat, etc.

I researched the origins of this unused brain thing once, the earliest reference I could find was in a novel, Robert Heinlein's "The Diaries of Lazarus Long". Where a character says that most people don't use most of their mental capacity.

No part of the brain is unused.

There is a scientific term when 100% of the brain is being used at once, it's called a gran mal seizure.

Only about 20%, its a common misconception but actually humans use the majority of their brain.

i have heard that we use 3% of our brain and that einstein used 5%
