My 17 month old grandson has discovered that he can turn the knobs on the gas stove. Is there something out there that can be put on this type of knob to keep him from turning them? Also he has found the broiler part of the oven and trys climbing inside, does any one have any ideas as to what my daughter and son-in-law can do to keep him out of there?

Go to your Toys R Us baby department or Babies R us, or a reputable department store and ask for the knob protectors that fit over the range knobs. They will slip around without gripping the knob unless an adult exerts pressure on it. There is a web site full of baby safety items. I just found.

As for the broiler, I see that there is an oven lock. It should work as well on the broiler and it is not unsightly.

I have checked the web site that the next person reccomended and I like the oven door lock in it better than the one on the site I found. It looks a lot nicer and perhaps is better.

My little guy is about to need these too :) I'm not sure about the broiler. Check that website.
