I just found a large collection of (ahem...) old pornographic magazines. Besides throwing them away, could I recycle them? Do they pay for them the same way they pay for other recycleables?

if they're old porno's especially like playboy and stuff, they'll proabably be worth alot one day, keep them stored in a large box and find out where you can sell them, if not, i guess you could find somewhere to recycle them, but you wont get nearly half as much....and if your jsut sick of them and dont know what to do...ya go ahead and burn them....throw the ashes away....good luck

Donate them. Drop off a handful at some doctor's offices, free clinics, womens' shelters, homeless shelters, etc. Depending on the topic of the magazines, donate them to local schools. Some classes can use magazines about money, politics, culture, etc. These would be mostly junior and senior high classes.

Recycle them,,,,and not all places will take magazines either because of the paper that it is made with.

If you know of a place that pays you for your paper recyclables, then you are a very lucky person. I'm sure they will take them.

I don't know about your library, but ours takes donated magazines and sells to help buy new books. Did you know Your local hospital has like 15 waiting rooms and nursarys that can always use magazines and coloring books.

I'm not sure if you can recycle them for money but if they are in good condition you can sell them on craigslist.com. I've seen a couple of people sell porno mags on there.

I was going to say donate them to a nursing home, you know old people, but then I read the question again, nevermind you don't want to cause heart attacks to the old folks.

give them to like a good will or somewhere that takes stuff for the needy dont trash them some people cant afford mags but still like to read!
