So sorry. You really should know better than to have white carpet & serve red wine, however, the best thing I've found is Spotshot, the one with the orange cap. Good Luck.

The instant there is a spill on carpeting, blot up the excess and immediately dump a large quantity of table salt on it. Half a box of salt would not be too much for a full glass of wine. Allow the salt to absorb the wine and dry completely. The vacuum up.

The Oxy-Clean container claims to be able to get it out. I know that it works for wine stains on laundry, so I would try Oxy-Clean. It's great stuff and it doesn't harm the fibers. The container will tell you to start with the weakest solution in order to see whether it works. If the weakest solution works, use that. No sense in using a strong solution if a weaker one works just fine. Good luck!

I split red wine and tried everything I could get my hands on, nothing worked. One of my friends saw it and pulled a bar of EXIT instant stain remover out of her handbag and had it clean in no time. It was amazing I spent well over $100 on different products and she only paid a few dollars for her wonder product.
