I just want to know. I hang out with both guys and girls. I've been hit on a few times. (even by my co-workers) I've handle most times really nicely but firm. I tell them no and that I'm taken. Some people think I'm selfish because I go out. He doesnt want to go and he tells me he is fine when I go out. He isnt into the whole bar scene and I dont want to force. I dont go out to sleep with anyone, and I dont go out to get "trashed" I go and have a few drinks with friends (usually co-workers)

Am I selfish for wanting to go out? Even if he is ok with it??

No. That's not selfish at all. You have your own life apart from him and you should be free to enjoy it. And it's great that he has the faith and confidence in you to allow you to go out without him being dragged along and having to eye you like a hawk.

As long as strong communication between you two is maintained and you stay out of trouble, then there's nothing wrong here.

If he's really and truly OK with it, then I don't think there is anything wrong with it. It's not being selfish, you need a little "me" time and it will do the relationship good to be away from him every now and then. If you make it a weekly habit then you might have to rethink the situation.

Each relationship is different. By boyfriend and I only spend 1 night a month apart with his boys night out and my girls night out. But we've been together for 2 and 1/2 years and live together. At the beginning we spent every other weekend together and the weekends apart we did out own thing.

Spending some "me" time away from your partner is healthy.

Sounds like your more of a partier than him, But they say opposites attract. I just think that going to a bar or night club with girl and male friends is not a great idea. Maybe once in awhile that would be good but not on a regular basis going out without your man. You should be glad you have a man that doesn't do the bar scene. Maybe you should think it over and decide what is best for you in a relationship.

If he's fine with it, and you're fine with it, then there should be no problems, especially since you're not going to pick up guys.

Your life shouldn't end just because you're in a relationship, and I'm sure there are things that he does that you're not part of. That's what makes relationships grow, when each person in the relationship develops.

It's only a problem if it interfers with your relationship in any way, and by the sounds of it, it's not.

If he doesn't like going out and you do, go out. If he tells you not to, tell him to blow it out his a**.

You will miss too much fun. I had good times back in the day, but then I got married.

The part that's different is I was out to get trashed and typically cheated on my boyfriends.

Go out have fun, if your bf is fine with it then you should be too. Some times you have to have time to yourself. Find something you both like to do and invite him to go so you can have some "alone" time together.

Hell No! Get your grove on! I love to go because I love to dance and my man doesn't. As long as you never cross the line then there isn't ever a problem.
