Hard to choose a favorite player but I will mention a few that haven't been mentioned yet. Don't forget about about Greg Lloyd, Rod Woodson, Carnell Lake is a hell of a corner. Casey Hampton, Larry Foote, and Ike Taylor, the Bus. Gotta mention of course Polamalu, Porter, and the rest of the team. Let's not forget it's a team thing, so why single out individuals. We all bleed "black & gold"

So many good choices, I'm not sure I could pick a single player. I mean do you go back to the days of old with Terry, Lynn, Franco, Mean Joe or Jack. Or do you come into the present with Big Ben, Hines, Jerome, Joey and Troy. I hate to say this but I think thats an unfair question you can't just pick one favorite player because they all contribute so much to the team and make the team what it is.
If I had to choose my favorite Steeler it would have to be a Rooney for making the orginization what it is and building such a great team year in and year out.

Of the current team. I like Troy. His chill off the field demenor and his all out effort on the field.
Old school was Lambert. What a one man wrecking crew.
But really, it's hard to pick a favorite. There have been so many great ones.
