It is amazing that when someone attacks a church or abuses a woman or murders a person in a Muslim country, all Muslims must answer to the crime.
Every year 1.4 mil women are raped, 4 mil people are attacked, or beaten, and 600,000 people are murdered in the US. When will you take responsibility for these crimes? After all, these crimes are committed by Americans, who were raised by American parents, and taught the same values. Shouldn’t “you” now be made to answer for these crimes?
Why is that we must use logic and reason and blame only the criminals, when it comes to these crimes, but thoughtlessly, with a flagrant display of bigotry blame 1.5 B Muslims in 192 countries when a man is killed in a Muslim country?
Crimes are committed by criminals and must be treated as such. A Mosque is burnt or vandalized by people in the US every month, but no one demands the Christian community to answer for these crimes, and no one should.
A point to ponder!

I would have to say it is because the criminal who vandalizes, rapes, sets fires, etc. is simply that that person is an idiot, a criminal, not because he or she is Christian. I believe the difference is that most of the crimes committed by a muslim, it is in direct connection with religion. I do not blame all Muslims for the acts of the extremists, I do however blame all extremists, no matter what the religion. For example, the pope read a quote written many moons ago and how did the Muslims extremist respond, by killing a nun. The Pope spoke words and the Muslim extremists used violence. Maybe that is part of the reason.

Ok, the difference between the crimes in America and the crimes in Muslim coutries is that in the US, they are not done by a religiouis creed. In Muslim coutires they are. And, after 9/11/01, Islam's image has been degraded in America.

Because America’s chest-beating manly-men (and manly-women) who shout self-sufficiency are really nothing but intellectual children who need their parents (church & State = mommy & daddy) to explain the world to them and to tell them what they are supposed to think about things.
Now, in real life mommy and daddy (church and state) are sleazy rape-torture-kill thugs. Of course, they need to hide this behavior from their children. So, they keep it black-and-white simple (us = good; they=bad) and keep the kids in the dark about their perverted lives.
It is always someone else’s fault no matter what (didn’t we all have the same relationship with our own parents? – yeah, but not since we reached puberty).
If you poll conservatives about the reasons for the US crime statistics you cite, they will say it is because of: gay, liberal, stupid, family hating, ACLU lawyers living in socialist states.
They will say this despite the fact that virtually all criminal behavior and crimes are committed by Christians, and if not by Christians then by people who follow a different perverted and bloodthirsty mythical god-figure.
Atheists, being decent, moral, and ethical by their very nature (in addition to being highly intelligent and drop-dead good looking) are conspicuous by there absence from these manifestations of the foul-rotten souls of the evil-religious-political-conservative sons and daughters of the devil who talk loud about morality but just cannot seem to walk-the-walk (unless they are walking down the hall to torture someone).

The trouble with your argument is that none of our crimes evil though they may be.
Are being committed in the name of our christian God.
And at the same time receiving tacit support from a sizable minority of fellow Christians.

"Why?" is your question? One word. Conditioning. Knowing you've been conditioned to respond or act in any particular way is half the battle, the rest is stuff like this post, spreading the word.
