gay generally means happy but has been turned by our American culture to mean homosexual of lame.

because the younger generations have been brought up were "gay" is used in common conversation to refer to homosexuals as apposed to something good or pleasant

I do know what gay means! It means to be happy and cheerful. It also means your as queer as a 2 dollar bill....I can say that, cause I is one.....lol.......
