How do you turn up the brightness on a Dell Laptop?

I'm using a friend's computer for a week, but she keeps it so dim, I can only use it in a very dark room at night. I can't find any obvious dials or knobs.

function key (blue key with FN) and eitehr the up or down key. Look for a blue sun like logo on a key. That's your brightness up. also plug it in, that will also make it brighter!

If you look at the keyboard, you will find a key that is labeled "FN". Then look at the function key for a brightness symbol. (Kind of looks like a sun.) Press the FN key then brightness key, will change the intensity of the monitor.

Most have a Function Key and it may have blue letters on it (FN)

look for a blue colored keys usually on the F keys. the blue means you have to hold the FN (function) key down to use them. one of those should affect brightness

purely attempt keeping the "FN" key down, and on a similar time on the "F" keys on the impressive, carry the single down that has a easy bulb with extra "easy bursts" than a similar key next to it. those keys will alter the brightness up and down.
