Make his favorite dish, watch a good comedy, give a nice massage, light some candles and have a sesual evening... (this doesn't mean sex, it means an intimate, sensual experience of touch, taste and smell) Tell him how much you enjoy being with him... Do something you guys haven't done in a long time... If nothing else, maybe a hottie tottie is in order... (just make sure not too much, in case he's on meds)

Depends on how serious of an injury it is. How much pain he may be in. What are the prospect of him coming back to his old self again.
If a man has been very active and or health all his life and he now is forced to do nothing or very living some of us can become depressed. Seems like that may be it.
Depression takes many forms but may be able to be helped by your doctor. It takes some doing at times to may the doctor pay attention but you never know what may help.
If it is not depression then he just needs time to heal. Caring for him is the best medicine you can give him now.

My husband fractured his foot on thee 7th of September, In the beginning of the construction of our house, since he is the contractor, he likes to be around the subcontractors. What I do to cheer him up is tell him that it is time for him to rest, because he had been tired from working so much. He feels better.

Have you tried to cheer him up ordering him his favorite pizza, getting it for him in bed( chair or wherever he is ) , with a smile on your face...buying something that can cheer him up , doesn't have to be anything expensive...giving him a complete control over the remote controller and ...small things like that:)

Small gifts are always nice, maybe some magazines, or dvd's. It really does not mater on the size of the gift. He will recognize the thought, and knowing that you care will make all the difference !!

Well, my husband injured himself 2 weeks ago, I just be there for him, to talk to him and comfort him. Don't talk about his injury, just try to make him feel better. Give him lots of kisses and lots of hugs.

A cup of tea and a funny show on the tele! Then, just keep him company and be yourself. You obviously care about him, so just that lovin' energy will do wonders! Oh, and don't forget hugs!
