The union would hope to capture the dues from the largest employer in the country and perhaps the world.. What a lucrative opportunity. I wonder why they are not making any inroads? Is it perhaps because the employees find the benefits they have access to, a bit more attractive than what the union would provide.. and it doesn't cost them anything. They can actually obtain shares in the company and have the employer meet their investment dollar for dollar.!!

Wal-Mart thinks they pay their employees enough, but a full-time worker should not be below the poverty line. I think it's the company that rejects the UFCW, not the workers. If they workers weren't afraid of getting fired, and they knew what benefits a contract could bring them they would jump at the chance. Just my opinion, and I could be wrong.

first off, they know, its why they are doing it.

as to the wages, they get paid better than a lot of people, and their healthcare cost are not as bad as they whine about.
