I have been dating this guy for 11 month, We suppose to be going on a dinner cruise saturday as well. But my cousin furneal is in Mississippi. I stay up north, I don't know what to do. I am still sad abot my cousin has pass away. I don't know what to do.

Go honey... You love and miss your cousin. Sometimes, when you don't get to grieve right, it'll haunt you the rest of your life. Especially if you break up with this guy in 3 months.
If the guy is worth a damn, he'll understand. If he loves you, he wouldn't make you choose like that. But offer to make up the difference later or something...

Well, the right thing to do- the thing a mature adult would do- would be to attened the family funeral of course.
You can go on a dinner cruise any time; this funeral is only going to be once.
I'm surprised you need to ask what to do.
Also.... don't you think this guy is going to think you're a little cold and self-centered if you go on a dinner cruise instead of the family funeral? Do you think he'll be impressed with you??? What are you going to say? "My cousin's funeral was today, but I wanted to go out with you instead!" ?? That doesn't make you look very good.

Do you even have to ask? This is so sad, you can go on this cruise any other time, but it's not like your cousins funeral is going to happen again, gosh only if your cousin knew you were asking this question, pathetic. Guy over family.... sad.

Since it is a funeral, can't your friend cancel the cruise, until another time? It will be good to go to the funeral, and be with your family, this is what family is all about!!

your cousins funeral is a one time only event ... there wil be many more dinner cruises in your future .... if you were close to this cousin, then family should come first and your bf should understand and be supportive

If you were close to your cousin you will do the right thing and go with rescheduling if you were not close then i hope you do the right thing and go i mean that person still is family and just think what your mom or dad will say. your boyfriend will understand or dump him.

I would go to the funeral,because if you don't have family you don't have anyone.and you will have to live with your choice.& if that boy loves you he will understand.death is something serious.its always good to show respect to those you love.remember that saying blood is thicker than water.

If you were close to you cousin go to the funeral. If you were not close no one will notice wheather you are there or not.
