hey, guys, I have never seen how a sore throat looks like, so, now i am freaking out, i have some discomfort in my throat like it is the beginning of cold, but the way it looks is scaring me.
i looked in the mirror, i saw about 6 spots on my toungue, far end, and they are scarily to me semetrical, 3 one one side and 3 on the other side, making up a trapese, u know what i mean, guys, is it how ur tongue looks when u get cold or what is it?
first thing came to mind "cancer", cos i smoke, please, who knows what it can be.

could be strepp they are white spots or puss spots never seen them on the tongue but on the back of the throat, and it will feel worse if you smoke while having this!!!You do need medicine to clear this up so go see your doctor.

I wouldn't panic. The bumps you describe sound like your normal circumvallate papillae. They're the largest papillae on your tongue, everyone has them. They're arranged at the very back of the tongue in a v-shape. Typically you can have up to 1 dozen, although it's far back, so you can't usually see them all at once. If the sore throat doesn't get better or you have trouble swallowing, see a doctor. (And don't smoke!!!)
