Female donkey is called a jennet or jenny.(A male donkey is called jack.)
A female donkey in the UK is called a mare, or jenny and the word jennet is more commonly applied to the offspring of a female donkey and a male horse, regardless of whether the foal is female or male.(North American nomenclature call the offspring of a male horse and a female donkey a hinny.)
