Lucky for you there are several 12-step progams to wean yourself off of Alice. In the addiction community, Alice Syndrome (AKA Ann B. Davis Compulsion) is a popular and valid one. Check out your community resources!!! My heart goes out to you.

um, yeah, forget Alice, they are a dime a dozen and they can't talk back or do your laundry nor cook your meals, dude.
So. I would suggest that you try your hardest to be really sweet to your wife, just try it for ONE WEEK!
Give her compliments.
Bring her a gift of Candy.
Wink at her...
Tell her to sit down, you will make dinner.
ONE WEEK!....and see how she reacts, I don't think you'll be daydreaming about Alice in wonderland anymore.

You realize that she's about 80 years old, right?
And gee, how much is there to research? After about a week, you pretty much know all about her.
I wouldn't divorce you for your emotional affair. I'd probably divorce you for being an idiot. :-P
