Preamble means what was written prior to the Constitution. Like
an Introduction in a book before the actual story.

It's a Mission Statement: It explains why the Constitution exists and what it intends to accomplish.

It doesn't really 'mean' anything - it's just an explanation of what the following text is and what is was created for.
