In The United States we use the fahrenheit scale for weather measurements, but the celcius scale for scientific measurements. Many other countries use the celcius scale for everything. It is part of the metric system of measurement.

Fahrenheit only in use in USA. Rest of the world use Celsius which is latest unit of measuring temperature. Also note, other units of measuring e.g. Foot, Mile, Pound, Ton, Gal lone- all these are obsolete except in USA. These are already changed to metric system e.g.Meter, kilo meter, kilogramme, Tonne, Litre etc.
