I have to read it in my English class and it sounds boring.

It's okay. I had to read it for 8th grade english class.. I too found it boring in parts but stay awake for the ending since that is where it all comes together. The best book by Hemmingway that I enjoyed was 'The Sun Also Rises.'

read it thinking of yourself as the old man. it is a very good film starring spencer tracy and its in color too! also, go to cliff notes!
