I have had enough of people saying that Steve Irwin "had it coming to him because of all the risks he took". If you think about it, we take risks everyday. We all drive or ride in cars every day of our lives. In the US alone, about 50,000 people die each year in car accidents. See, that's a risk too. Steve Irwin could have just as easily died in a car accident, or some other way.
Steve Irwin was such a genuine person, and it is so tragic that he died. No, he did not "have it coming to him", and no it wasn't his fault, and he wasn't "playing with fire". He was doing what he loved to do every day of his life, which he lived to the fullest. God bless you, Steve Irwin. He will be missed by so many of us who loved him, and my utmost sympathy to his family, who are grieving so much right now.

Steve's death is incredibly sad, especially for his young family. I watched his memorial the other day and my heart broke all over again for little Bindi, she was so brave to get up and talk. But it seems like too much pressure is being placed on her at such a young age, she has to go back to work in two weeks to finish the filming of her tv show for the Discovery Channel. Which is what her father was doing when he passed away, now Bindi seems very mature for her age but in the end she is still only eight yers old. I sincerely hope that she will be ok.
R.I.P Steve

I think it is very sad that he was killed. He was a devoted family man who was on the side of conservation. However, he took entirely too many personal risks doing his job. I was not that surprised that he was killed, but I had thought it would be a poisonous snake or a croc or gator that would do him in. I was upset when he endangered his daughter while teasing a gator a few years back. Now I hear she is planning to swim with the sting rays to finish her dad's story. I pray she will change her mind, but if she won't, I hope she stays safe.

What really did people think would happen to him? Isn't the point of risk taking that there is a serious risk?
OK, he lived a rugged, individualistic life, and that life defined his death. Good for him.
But when a Samurai went into battle, he expected to die.
When a guy goies around teasing ferocious animals, then eventually...
I hope his kids have more sense than he did. And I really wish all those misguided people would stop killing sting rays because of this.

err... what's your question? if you are asking what we think about what happened and him dying and all...
i think it's been a long time coming. seriously who risks their life the way he did and expects to always come out scotch free? he wanted to defy nature. he thought he was above the law of the wild. none of us are invincible, not even Steve Irwin. i remember how he once held his infant child in front of a crocodile, it was like watching Micheal Jackson dangle his son out a balcony window. there are things that shouldn't be done. he has suffered the natural consequences. Yes I feel bad that it happened, but We should rejoice for the animals who can now live in peace!

As he explained to Alan King - he was not as close to the crocodile while holding his infant son as the angle of that particular camera shot made it appear. This was not the case with Michael Jackson, however, he really did dangle the child for a brief moment.

I think he would just want everybody to continue what he started and not look back at what happened and look at all the things we learned about animals and their importance for preserving the integrity of their environments. I think he would say - dont cry for me anymore...but be happy for the life I have lived and pray that my family will have someone there in time to make them happy.
He would say..."dont cry for me" I cry for you...

He is great, and looks like his little Bindi will be too. So sorry. But I think he went out the way he would have wanted to, with his wildlife.
