what product, that has been invented, do u think could have helped the slaves back in their time.?

i have to do a project in my american history class and i have to make up an invention that could have helped slaves on the plantaion, or the 19th century during the industrial revolution. i need help very badly. could you think of anything powered by water steam or air that could have helped life easier back then.

I think you should ansewer that no invention would have actually 'helped' the slaves. It is arguable that the cotton gin, in fact, was the main reason slavery stayed profitable and continued.

The first rudimentary mechanican cotton picker replaced 40 to 50 pickers. If a picker could have been invented that could have been pushed by two men since the tractor was not yet invented it would have required less importation of slaves.

A solar powered language translator. Many of the first generation slaves did not speak english. And most slaveowners would not spend money on anything for the slaves unless it would increase their profits. Surely a translator would speed things up.
