I'm looking for someone to help me find a publisher for a poem manuscript. I have a manuscript that I can send if I get credible correspondence.

Once you have picked up a copy of the "Guide to Literary Agents" by the people at Writer's Market, then head over to Preditors and Editors to begin your research:

I really can't be much more specific than that, because different agents handle different things. You mentioned that you had a "poetry manuscript" but you didn't mention if it was book length, chapbook length, etc. You also didn't mention a genre.

Happy researching!

Grab a copy of Writer's Market or go to
www.agentquery.com. It's an excellent source for finding a reputable literary agent. You can narrow it down by genre, too, so you can search for agents that handle just poetry.

Go to your local library and ask the librarian to show you "The Literary Marketplace" or "The Writer's Market". Both books have lists of publishers and agents and the kind of work they handle.

If you can write a poem you can look up agents by yourself.

Beware of agents who ask for money or reading fee.
