That happened to my brother in high school, she just likes you, don't be rude to her, just tell her that you have a girlfriend, and she probably wouldn't appreciate you talking to other girls.

First... STOP.... don't judge her value on her looks...... Do yourself and her a favor... ask her two open questions.. about her or her opinions... listen to her answers, and consider them... This will require two seperate occasions... AFTER that, if you are still uncomfortable, tell her so. Do it nicely, no need to be a jerk... and be honest. You won't regret at least trying to give her a chance on a social basis... It could be that a lot of people are diverted by her looks... or possible mental disability... maybe she is hopingthat since you have at least givin her eye contact that maybe you would be able to help her or befriend her...She may just be looking for someone to treat her normal, and respect her.. not necessarily that she has a crush. This is why you should give her a shot.. everyone deserves acknowledgement. Think, she has made it this far, and keeping up with you somewhat. If it's downs syndrome, she's lucky to be this cognitively apt, let alone able to be in a regular school with you. Respect that if nothing else... that she lives with this disfigurement, and what ever flaws for everyone to see, and she is doing very well... I hope that you have the decency to see that... and be socialable.
Maybe you could try to find out what it is that makes her look and talk the way she does, and try to understand it. If ultimately you just don't want her around, tell her I'm sorry, but I'm not interested and I don't think giving you my number is a good idea. i I just don't want to give you the wrong idea.

You just described my (16 year old) little brother trying to pick up the ladies. He's mildly mentally retarded, and adolescence is a very hard time for him. He has all the same urges on sex and suddenly seeing girls in a different way, but with no idea how to act on them. Be nice, talk to her, and dont dare make fun of her, to her face or to your friends. She obviously has a crush on you and it would devastate her to do so. Try treating her like you would a friend a little sister of yours brings over. She may have a crush on you, but I'll bet you anything she'd love to have a friend even more.
But keep your boundaries. Go ahead and tell her your grounded so your parents wont let you take phone calls, or that youre really busy. Mention that you have a girlfriend if you have one. If she should ask you out or something, tell her your relationship with her isnt like that, you are just friends. Be friendly, but adamant & firm.

I thought about this, ......Maybe you can talk to someone that knows more about her. Her life, her condition and then maybe they could give you advice on how to deal with it. (maybe her parents) Tell them how you feel and let them know the truth about it in a nice way. You don't want to do something that will hurt her feelings. Hopefully someone can help her understand. I don't think it is offensive that you are trying to be honest about something. PS But I am sure she is harmless, what could really happen by being her friend at school. ???? Are you worried about what other people think or are you just scared because you have no idea how to handle this.?

I think that is really rude what you are doing to her. What if your face was like that and you didnt have any friends. Wouldn't you want someone to be nice to you???? Just give her your number and talk to her for a couple minutes a day or a week. It's not like you have to talk to her for hours at a time or date her or anything. I mean or what if you little sister was like that. You wouldnt want some guy blowing her off or being mean, now would you. THINK ABOUT IT!!!!!!!!

The poor girl can't help it. I don't think I would be mean and hurt her feelings. Maybe when she comes up to you just say hi and gotta go and just walk away. She may really be retarded. I just hate to see people make fun of retarded people. I'm not saying you should be her friend and talk to her. Just nicely say hi and bye and walk away.

She makes you uncomfortable, but she IS a fellow human being. Try to tell her in the nicest way possible that you don't feel comfortable about giving out your phone number to anyone. Good luck, and please try to be understanding.

Tell her that you don't have a phone. You sound like a nice guy and she will probably get the hint.

If she bothers you that much try to push her on someone else. That usually works for me. If she is really phyco next time she asks for your number just say I forgot it or it got unplugged.
