If you have a great idea for a comic strip, how would you get someone to publish it?

Nowadays, I'd start online - http://www.keenspot.org/ is a good site to host it. If you want to try to become syndicated, then put together a portfolio of a couple dozen strips and try to get in to see folks at the major syndicators - it's notoriously difficult to break in, though.

Start small go with a local/small town paper or even the ones you get for free in stores. Send in a sample to the publisher.

I'd ask advice on yahoo answers on how to go about that and take it from there:)
