Thank you. I appreciate your honesty.

It is OK to disagree with and even openly criticize the president in this country. However, regardless of whether or not you respect the man you should at least respect the office of the President of the United States.

I think it is *way* over the line for a foreign president (or diplomat of any kind) to stand on American soil and openly attack our country by calling it's leader "The Devil". Such rhetoric goes well beyond an attack on the man. It is a direct attack on America itself, and regardless of our personal feeling towards G. W. Bush, we as Americans should be deeply offended by it.

I am shocked (and somewhat disappointed) that Mr. Chavez has appeared in public in this country since his remarks and has not been torn limb from limb by an angry mob.

I agree with the context of Mr. Chavez' remarks. He just chose the wrong arena for them. He should have been a little more respectful to the country where the U. N. is located.

Wouldn't it be nice if Bush apologized when he is wrong? I think he has made quite a few mistakes, yet I have not heard him apologize.

That's the best thing I've read here all day. Regardless of his motives for saying so, Rangel was right: When a foreign leader comes to our country and takes shots at our President, he's dissing ALL of us. It wouldn't have made a difference for me no matter who held the office at the time.

There is not a thing wrong with strongly criticizing the President.
You have every right.

I voted for him, and I am NOT happy with him at all.

Honey,
We all say stuff on here that is out of line from time to time. Your thoughts on world affairs are yours. You should not have to defend them. Freedom of choice and all. I'm sure you didn't say anything that bad.

It is of smart people to know when they are wrong and change their mind to right, is of dumb people to know they are wrong and stay wrong.

Although, I quite don't understand why you were wrong.

Please, have no guilt when it comes to our president. I have no qualms about saying openly that he is a child of Satan.
