Hey....that is not a good place to be. as we spend most of our lives at work there is no point in being unhappy. If people treat you like an outsider my suggestion would be to up sticks and find a more appropriate role with some human beings who are really are human rather than pack or polictical animals.

The recruitment guru has spoken....Lol :-)

Good luck with it - I suggest you demand better surroundings you deserve it.

I certainly have. I like the 'be loud and proud' answer and can see no harm in that. But if you ruffle the wrong feathers you might as well just head for the door.

Good luck to you. There are all kinds of people out there and you'll meet plenty of them before all is said and done.

I hope you find a place where you are comfortable and can contribute in a big way to your work place.

Sorry,I have never worked any where to be treated like an outsider.,but i have moved recently and had to go to a new school.I was also treated like an outsider. My solution was to confront the person and get my problems over with.In the end she was only messing with me because of rumors she heard from some people.

i worked for a company that was owned and run by JWs. Whilst they were polite, i was not one of them so i was treated like an outsider. When offered the chance to join their religion i was not interested and things went downhill from then on. I stayed for 6 months under constant pressure. i would never had joined if i had known they they were all Jehovah's Witnesses.

Yes in every job i have had. I use to work for the co-op i had been there for 3 years and everyday i always got treated as the new girl, if anything went wrong if was my fault. They sacked me in the end.

Oh yeah!!

and didnt they suffer because of it...... i started to be a non conformer... it was great.. i left in the end but only after making my line managers life hell....

I dont know why i got a thumbs down .. the organisation were rubbish and nobody should be treated as an outsider.. it can seriously effect a persons personality and career confidence!!

Working in Saudi Arabia (and as a non Muslim) I was an outsider. I just accepted it for what it was and left at the end of my contract.
