at least 40 or 50 years ago that i can remember!

I dont know but its funny,my grandfather used to always call all his grandkids "boy", whether it was a male or female.No names, just "come here boy".When i was little,i didnt like it, but i grew into it.Now i call my kids that, the boys and the girls.
