when my husband and i are having sex, after the first 5 minutes i start to get really dry down there. i have always done this and it is very uncomfortable for both me and my husband. we can never really finish and we never enjoy it anymore. i have to talked to a friend of mine about and she suggested more foreplay but we always have plenty of that. Do any of you have any ideas on what the problem could be? only serious answers please.

Obviously this is common or they wouldn't make lubricants. No shame in getting some for you and your hubby. It's very sexy actually. It's wet and therefore makes you think of the real stuff. It might be awkward at first to reach for it, but trust me, that wears off real quick. Would you rather be nervous about reaching for the lube or just pile it on and let yourself go...
I use it and I'm NOT old. Not even 25 yet. Go to town!
Oh, also, try to have him go down on you. That makes you nice and ready for some in the sheets action.

I have had this problem. You must first determine whether the problem is physical or emotional. Find at what point during sexual arousal you are most "wet." What is your partner doing or saying at that time? What are doing or saying? If it is emotional, try using what I call a "positon of surrender." Choose a position where you are face to face with your partner. They say the eyes are the window to the soul for good reason. Most women find it to be a "turn on" to stare into their lover's eyes. If it is physical; I have found that making love in water helps; (hot tubs, showers, etc.) You may also want to consider vaginal inserts. Most can be found at a local pharmacy.

Have you tried lubrication. I have used it and it is great. I get your problem sometimes too but I apply a little water based lubricant and it works like a charm and now I get more wet down there naturally. Its not the worst problem in the world. Trust me.

I have had the same problem since my hysterectomy. You might want to talk to your doctor about Vagifem......a little pill that you insert that helps with the thinning and drying. It really does work! Also, like others have mentioned, you might want to try a personal lubricant...like the KY warming or new spray stuff.

As we get older some females start to become dry. Get yourself some GOOD lube like Kay Y Gel. It is a water base gel that keeps you moist. Now go and enjoy.

It's a pretty common condition, especially right before or during menopause. Use a lubricant like KY when u feel it start to dry up.

Have you tried using "Lubricants?" If you're getting dry down there you might want to try some lube on your husband's penis and that'll improve both of your sex life.

Believe it or not , this is natural. Try some lubrication. The adult stores have a wide variety of diffrent kinds , also your local drug store will have the basic lub. for the job. Let him help you pick it out.Even get a couple of diff. kinds. It not only adds moisture but fun as well.

Are you over 40? If you are, it is not uncommon to be dry. Talk to your Doctor. You can also use lubrication jelly available at the local drug stores.

After all that fore play, do you c.u.m? If so this could be the reason why you become dry. It use to happen to me and my husband also. We cut back on the fore play, and when I came, he would start with the fore play again. You could try this, and if that doesn't work, try some KY Jelly. But if all fails, you could always talk to your doctor. But try and cut back on the fore play, and see if that works.
