Autumn? or Autumn and a half?

My gardener and I had a falling out. He did not think that I tree ted him right. He finally decided to leaf. We tried to get to the root of things, but the argument kept branching out into other areas. I kept wondering; wood he or wood he not. He left, but come this fall I have an inheritance due. I will be worth a pile. I can hardly wait to rake in all that loot. In the will I should have the pile of gold read to me and all the green that I can put away. You have to beleaf.

Rake? What's a rake?? Oh, and the leaves, oh yes. No. There are mostly evergreens around here. Real leaves need sun and a little heat to live. My daughter likes to color pictures of leaves. They're starting to collect all over her floor. I guess we could rake those ones up soon. And then jump off her bed into the pile!! WOOHOO!! It is a bit warmer in here.

I'm thinking of becoming a herbivore so I can just eat the bloody things! Maybe I could use my rake as a giant fork!

When it is Half past Autum, I still won't have any leaves to rake,I moved into a condo,lol.
I pay people to do the raking.

None, the dang wind blows all the freakin' time and so no one can rake leaves or anything else for that matter.

Pffffft....I don't know about you, but that's what my kids will be doing while I sip my hot toddy on the deck.
And remember the good old days when you could burn the leaves and the whole neighborhood would have that great burning leaf smell? I miss that. *sniff*
