Badly first came to mind! lol

But seriously - one goes out in public with grace, charm, dignity, joy, liberation, confidence and great expectation.

Realize that YOU are beautiful and your clothes, hair, makeup and accessories are just the window dressing.

Have fun, darlin' and be proud!

I guess a lot of people here cannot understand the huge fear that I think you may be experiencing facing this task. My advice, as someone who faced this fear a long time ago, is that you go to a Cross-dressing club or a transgender night club - many of them have changing facilities so you can go there in drab and get changed - and a lot of the T*girls will be happy to give you advice to get you look more convincing.

Another option is to go to a dressing service - check the trans forums and ask for help locally on that - there are lots of people who will give you a make over and advice on appearance.

One thing I don't recommend is walking around dimly lit streets late at night alone - I know it's tempting because you are less likely to be read - but a lone woman does not walk around dimly lit streets unless she is looking for trouble. That's where you are likely to get someone try to chat you up and that is what happened to a few of my trans friends who have been been attacked.

A good possible way is to talk to your close friends about it and ask them really nicely if they would do it with u. if u were in a group of 20 all crossed dressed (maybe a few large lads to prevent anyone starting anything) then you should be okay and as ur with ur friends u should feel confident too.

Probably best at night as lighting will be more sympathetic.

Depends if you are just going for a walk dressed or if you are going for a purpose.

A few drives around dressed may also help calm your nerves.

It also depends how passable you are.

You open your door, put your shoulders back and your head held high and you walk right out onto the street and just be happy.

Never tried it, but I think you should try putting on clothing that was originally designed for the opposite sex and then leave the building.

The same way you do it when you're dressed as your own gender. No difference.

My friends did it during the night, and they were in a group.
