What kind of book titles catch you eye?

I like the kind of titles that are ambiguous, so I feel compelled to pick up the book and read more, and also unique, especially when dealing with fantasy or sci fi novels.

A book with a title like, "Murder at the Lake" or the "Sword of Power" I would probably pass by. How many of those books are free falling through the fiction section.

However, titles like "Outlander," or "Needful Things," are out of the ordinary and are more likely to make me want to expend my limited budget on them.

I like theme-based titles, like "The Mark Twain Murders" or "The Dante Club."

I like quite simple ones like peoples names, I think that leaves a bit of mystery beacause you cannot immediatly work out what the book will be about.

Ambigious ones, ones that get me thinking. Anything that isn't obvious what its about. Or the really emotive ones, the best I can think of 'a child called it'.

I can tell you what I DON'T like -- titles with words like "lover" and "passion" and "wanton." Those are embarrassing to pick up at the library. :)
