They are caused by poor blood circulation...
As you get older (more so after you reach forty) they will become more pronounced, especially if you have a job where you are on your feet all day, or if you put on a lot of weight, or if you lead a too sedentary life (don't become a couch potato!)
Walking helps circulation, as does bike riding.
Walk at least a half hour a day at a brisk pace.
If you live near the seashore, go walking in the sand along the beach, this is wonderful for your circulation, and so is the saltwater, let it swirl around your lower legs...
If you notice they get worse, go to your doctor! There are certain creams and ointments that can help circulatory problems...

yes, its normal. if you think back you will probably realize that the spider veins happen in places you've had a bad bruise.

Yes that is about the age I started getting them.My 11 year old daughter has a small one on her leg.

Yes im so sorry but it is normal, not very common but normal you can have them removed or at least appear smaller
