I mean the ones in the Embassy here. Us Londoners have to pay it, what makes the Americans think they can get away with it?

The Charge is not a tax! The Americans say it is and thus are exempt.
They are tight fisted. A law unto themselves!

Rain. Not a tax!
You receive the same diplomatic benefits as any Embassy. Just pay up.
The Big American, look at me, how big I am?
Bunch of Tossers, if you ask me!

The Americans don't pay because most of them eat themselves to death and the ones that don't, their fat sausage fingers on the ends of their short arms cannot reach the end of their deep pockets.
Don't worry as a song I know goes... they will eventually grin themselves to death, they will smile so much they will fail to take a breath.
(PS - I'm exempt too from the Congestion Fees, so stick that in your pipe and smoke it!!!)

Their argument (US Embassy) is that it's a local tax and therefore they should be exempt from paying that. It would be more helpful if they saw it like a road toll which we all have to pay no matter what country we're in.As far as I'm aware non of the other Embassies in London have refused to pay the charge. When in Rome etc...

Never heard of a congestion charge. Perhaps the queen is the one insisting that all her subjects pay so she can get more money?

Because they dont belong here, we kicked them all out a couple of hundred years ago and now they come back, shame the american indians didnt scoop them all up off the face of the earth, then they wouldnt have continued to rape pillage and steal from the rest of us.

the same reason why your politcal ambassadors and such get diplomatic immunity here. courtesy.
when foreigners work in our cities in an official state capacity, they do not pay our taxes.
please don't try to make out that we are trying to 'get away with stuff'. that is just plain ignorance.
